A Midfielder’s Emotional Return to Football
On Sunday, Molde FC earned a 4-2 victory over KFUM Oslo in the Norwegian Eliteserien. Nigerian midfielder Daniel Daga came off the bench and scored an equalizing goal for his club during their match against KFUM Oslo.

The club released a statement confirming this: 'Daniel Daga is unanimously acquitted in the criminal case that has been dealt with by the Frostating Court of Appeal. Now that the Court of Appeal’s judgment has been delivered and Daniel Daga has been acquitted, we consider the employment situation to be clarified.' Daga's return now means he is available for selection ahead of significant matches.
Scoring the Turning Point
The goal came in his second start back since being reinstated. Daga reacted swiftly, firing home from a rebound after a teammate’s effort ricocheted off the crossbar. He levelled the scores with Molde trailing inside the opening minute against KFUM Oslo, setting the stage for Molde's eventual victory.
Emil Breivik put Molde ahead before KFUM equalized, and later in stoppage time, Martin Linnes and Samukele Kabini sealed the win. With this goal and performance, Daga has now made 14 appearances for the Norwegian club, adding three goals to his tally.
