Unity in Norway's Football Talent Pool
Isaiah Skovsgaard, a 15-year-old Norwegian player, has caught the attention of several European clubs. He is a Norwegian-American player who has played for KFUM Oslo since he was 14 years old.
Skovsgaard had a significant debut at the senior level for KFUM Oslo and has also played for the Norwegian U15 national team.
Bryan King, a former scout for Aston Villa, Everton, and Tottenham, believes that Skovsgaard is a player who can become a major star in Norway's football.
'I've already heard that PSV and Feyenoord are looking at him,' King told Football Insider. 'That means, you know, United have always had a pretty good connection with Scandinavia. And if they have any sense, they'd certainly be following him now, that's for sure.
'I mean, he's 15. He isn't 16 until next January. He's an interesting player. I don't think anybody's heard of him in England, have they? He's worth a mention before he does start getting mentioned.
If he's got any sense, he won't go to Chelsea. Fulham, maybe. Fulham have been following Norwegian football quite closely. They've got [Sander] Berge there. They've got [Oscar] Bobb. You know, that could be a half-decent little club for him, Fulham.
A Pathway Like Haaland's
The Premier League may not be the ideal first move for Skovsgaard, who will be keen to choose the right place his development.
Haaland stayed in Norway until he was 18, when he moved to Red Bull Salzburg, a club well known for their ability to develop young stars.
From one, he went to another, joining Borussia Dortmund a year later before eventually getting his big move to the Premier League.
Should Skovsgaard be capable of a similar rise, his best move may, for now, lie outside of the Premier League.
