KFUM Oslo have been hit with an injury blow as two key players are sidelined with thigh problems. Midfielder Tore Andre Soeraas and F. Tobias Berglie are both out indefinitely.
Soeraas has made nine appearances in the Eliteserien this season. Berglie has featured in twelve matches. Both are important pieces for manager Jørgen Isnes, who must now find solutions in training this week.
In addition to these two, goalkeeper Emil Oedegaard remains out with a knock. He has been absent since the end of August. Defender Ayoub Aleesami is also listed with a groin injury, though his return timeline is unclear.
“It’s obviously tough to lose players like this,” said Isnes. “We have to find other solutions within the squad.”
With several players on the injury list, it becomes extra important for KFUM Oslo to utilise their squad depth well. The team faces a tough run of fixtures, and the fixtures schedule shows how key squad depth is.
The injuries come at a time when the team needs all hands on deck to secure their Eliteserien status. The league standings show that every point counts.
Isnes is expected to give several replacements a chance from the start in the coming matches. The team's next assignment is an important home game at KFUM Arena.
