KFUM Oslo defeated Tromsø 1-0 away from home in the Norwegian Cup and became the 15th team to advance to the 4th round. Goalkeeper Emil Ødegaard kept a clean sheet and provided the assist for the winning goal. Ødegaard kicked the ball hard and low from his own 16-meter line, and the Tromsø defense was unable to handle the ball's trajectory. Jonas Lange Hjorth scored after just under half of the first half had been played. KFUM Oslo now faces Bryne in the next round, after Bryne eliminated Brann on Wednesday. A long kick from Ødegaard became the decisive pass to Hjorth. Ødegaard would have a lot more to do in the 2nd half, as Tromsø pushed for an equalizer. He made some good saves, but also got help from poor finishes. In the 70th minute, Vegard Erlien shot over from a free position. The teams meet again already on Sunday, when they will play for Eliteserien points at Ekeberg in Oslo. KFUM Oslo is now one of 16 teams left in the cup. Tromsø is the sixth Eliteserien team to be eliminated. KFUM Oslo now has two consecutive games against Eliteserien teams and will face Bryne, who have shown themselves to be strong in the cup.
