KFUM Oslo booked their place in the third round of the Norwegian Cup with a 2-0 victory over Hønefoss on Wednesday. Brage Tobiassen opened the scoring in first-half stoppage time, and Ola Visted sealed the win five minutes into the second half following an assist from Rasmus Eggen Vinge.
The win means all 13 Eliteserien clubs have progressed from the early rounds of the competition. The cup action continues on Thursday with matches involving Bodø/Glimt, Lillestrøm and Viking, among others.
For KFUM Oslo, the cup success adds to positive momentum in the league, where the team sits tenth with 25 points from 21 matches. The side has won two of its last five league games, including a 3-1 victory over Sarpsborg 08 last weekend.
The next cup round will present a sterner test, but KFUM Oslo can now focus on league duties until October. Their next assignment is a home match against Vålerenga on October 12th, with Vålerenga currently occupying 12th place in the table.
