KFUM Oslo will play Hønefoss BK in the Norwegian Cup second round on Wednesday, September 30. The match takes place at AKA Arena.
The teams have met twice before in the cup. Hønefoss won 2-0 in 2011, before KFUM Oslo got revenge with a 4-1 victory in 2023. The winner will face the victor of the tie between Madla and Viking.
- We progressed from the first round with a 4-0 win against Ready, and in recent years we have made a habit of going far in the cup, said KFUM Oslo.
Since the first round, the team has played four matches in the Eliteserien. They lost to Start and Molde, but turned the trend with wins over Aalesund and Sarpsborg 08. KFUM Oslo currently sit 10th in the Eliteserien with 25 points from 21 games.
Opponents Hønefoss BK have won five of their last six matches and sit third in the 2. Divisjon. The match was originally scheduled for September 9 but was postponed due to King Harald's funeral. KFUM Oslo's next league match is at home to Vålerenga on October 12.
